Trip to the Victoria & Albert Museum

visist_to_a_v_museamAll of the Year 12 English Literature students were fortunate enough to view a private screening of the exhilarating Jez Butterworth stage play from 2009, Jerusalem.

Escorted to the V & A screening room, the students were then engrossed for the whole of the near three hour running time. Being able to see Mark Rylance’s award-winning performance has certainly fired their imagination for their English Literature coursework.

Eight Year 13 Art students were also able to experience the pleasure of quiet research in the National Art Library and the Study Rooms at the Museum, enjoying the opportunity to view first-hand, preparatory drawings and watercolours by such artists as George Clausen, John Millais and Dante Gabriel Rossetti.
