Art & Photography trip to Paris

Unknown-2In the last few days of the Easter break, Sixth Form Art and Photography students travelled to Paris to visit the galleries and sights to collect ideas and inspiration for their forthcoming exams.

With fine, warm weather and a range of places to go, this has proved to be a most enjoyable and successful trip. Whilst the visit to Le Père Lachaise cemetery sparked much interest as students sought out the grave of Oscar Wilde and other notable ‘residents’, it was the calm atmosphere of the tree-lined avenues that contrasted with the poignant monuments that interested many, the Eiffel Tower, the Arc de Triomphe, the Louvre and the Musée d’Orsay all provided stimulation with new ideas and experiences, whilst the boat trip on the River Seine and the climb up to Sacre Coeur provided some splendid panoramic views.

Lots of walking, good food and a comfortable hotel all contributed to a successful trip.
