National Cadet Clay Target Shooting Competition

Unknown-3This competition took place on the 15th and 16th June at the Cambridge Gun Club. A field of 200 Cadets from all over the United Kingdom competed against each other in disciplines of Down the Line, a Fifty Bird Flush and Sporting.

As the College is rebuilding its clay target shooting team after a gap of seven years, expectations of doing anything spectacular were put on hold! However, Miles Orford, Mungo Levett- Scrivener, Jack Gawthrop and Toby Warner did their very upmost to keep us in the middle of the table.

The College finished 7th out of fifteen CCFs that qualified and overall 20th out of the forty-five teams that participated. Miles Orford was the College’s top shot, finishing 13th in the CCF list and joint 34th overall. Well done!
