Students at the College have helped Mills Meadow Care Home secure an award from The Suffolk Adult Safeguarding Board.

As part of the volunteer programme a number of students visit every Wednesday afternoon to contribute to a range of activities with the residents. They have been involved in a wide range of crafts including making placemats, bunting and design competitions, as well as playing games such as skittles.

Students also make the tea and have a good chat with the residents, all of which has helped the home achieve highly commended status for their creative activities and social participation.
