College progress in the Independent Schools Golfing Association and Archie Winter becomes Framlingham College Golf Champion 2013

A fine start to the golfing year began on Wednesday 2nd Oct with a 2-1 win over Langley School in the Independent Schools Golfing Association knockout. Will Rix won out in the countryside with a 8&7 victory. Lottie Whyman lost a closely fought match on the last while Archie Winter came from four down to win one up. The team progress to play Woodbridge School.

On Sunday 6th Oct seven pupils took part in the Framlingham College Golf Championships at Aldeburgh’s River Course. William Simpson was third with 19 stableford points while Archie Winter pipped Lottie Whyman to be crowned the Framlingham College Golf Champion. There was only one entry into the newly formed ‘shank log’ and the culprit shall remain nameless!

Aldeburgh Golf Club are offering College pupils membership of the River Course for £50 a year. Anyone interested can contact Mr Dougal Lyon (Head of Geography and Master i/c Golf)
